Credit Deduction Policy

Credits are deducted when you use features on the Literfy platform. The rules below explain how credits are calculated and charged.

Paper Search
• Credits are charged per data source.
• Each selected data source costs 2 credits per search.
• The number of results returned does not affect credit usage.

Outline Generation
• Outline generation costs a fixed 2 credits.
• Credit usage is independent of the number of papers selected.

Literature Review Generation (Tiered Pricing)

Literature review generation uses a progressive tiered pricing model.
This means different ranges of papers are charged at different rates, and the total cost is calculated cumulatively, not by a single flat rate.

Pricing Tiers

Number of Papers Price per Paper
1–20 papers 2 credits per paper
21–50 papers 1.5 credits per paper
51–100 papers 1 credit per paper
101–200 papers 0.5 credits per paper

How the Calculation Works
Credits are calculated by adding the cost of each tier step by step.

Example: 50 papers
• First 20 papers: 20 × 2 = 40 credits
• Next 30 papers: 30 × 1.5 = 45 credits
• Total: 85 credits

Example: 100 papers
• First 20 papers: 20 × 2 = 40 credits
• Next 30 papers: 30 × 1.5 = 45 credits
• Next 50 papers: 50 × 1 = 50 credits
• Total: 135 credits

Example: 200 papers
• First 20 papers: 20 × 2 = 40 credits
• Next 30 papers: 30 × 1.5 = 45 credits
• Next 50 papers: 50 × 1 = 50 credits
• Next 100 papers: 100 × 0.5 = 50 credits
• Total: 185 credits

Important Notes
• Minimum number of papers: 5 papers (minimum charge applies)
• Maximum number of papers: 200 papers
• Credits are deducted once, even if multiple AI models are used to generate alternative versions.

Credit Deduction Timing
• Credits are deducted when a task starts.
• If a task fails due to a system error, credits will be automatically refunded.
• If credits are insufficient, the task will not start and no credits will be deducted.
