Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the purchase date. Requests made after this period will not be eligible for a refund under standard circumstances.
To be eligible for a refund, your account must meet all of the following conditions:
- Your account must have generated fewer than 5 AI-assisted literature review drafts since purchase
- At least 70% of purchased credits or subscription benefits must remain unused
- The service must not have been used in violation of our Terms of Service
- No exported content (BibTeX, PDF, Markdown) has been downloaded more than 3 times
- Refund requests must be sent via email to contact@literfy.ai
- Include your account email address and order/transaction ID
- Provide a detailed reason for the refund request
- Submit the request within the 14-day window from your purchase date
The following situations are not eligible for refunds:
- Requests made after the 14-day period has expired
- Accounts that have generated 5 or more AI literature review drafts
- Credits or subscription benefits consumed by more than 30%
- Cases where the service has been used in violation of our Terms of Service or academic integrity policies
- Free trial credits or promotional credits
- Subscription renewals (you may cancel future renewals but cannot get refunds for current periods)
- Purchases made with promotional discounts or special offers exceeding 50% off
- Refunds requested due to user error (e.g., incorrect search queries, misunderstanding of features)
- All eligible refund requests will be reviewed within 3 business days
- Our support team will contact you if additional information is needed
- The decision on refund eligibility is at the sole discretion of Literfy
- We may request verification of your academic status or institutional affiliation

For annual subscription refunds, a 5% transaction fee will be deducted from the refund amount to cover payment processing costs and administrative expenses incurred during the original transaction.
In certain circumstances, we may issue partial refunds based on service usage and specific case details. The partial refund amount will be determined by our support team after reviewing:
- Extent of service usage (searches conducted, papers saved, drafts generated)
- Time elapsed since purchase
- Specific circumstances of your case
- Credits consumed versus credits remaining

- Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to your subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
- Your saved papers, research library, and generated drafts remain accessible until subscription expiration
- You can disable auto-renewal at any time through your account settings or by contacting support
- Disabling auto-renewal does not affect your current subscription period
- You will receive a reminder email 7 days before your subscription renews
For users with commercial or institutional plans:
- Standard refund conditions apply to all subscription types
- Institutional licenses require authorization from the account administrator for refund requests
- Commercial licensing benefits are immediately revoked upon refund approval
- Literature reviews exported under commercial licenses may require removal from commercial use or publications
Upon refund approval:
- Your subscription access will be terminated immediately
- Your research library, saved papers, and generated drafts will remain accessible for 30 days for export purposes
- After 30 days, all account data may be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- You are responsible for exporting and backing up any content you wish to retain before the 30-day grace period expires
We understand that special situations may arise. In the following cases, we may consider refund requests outside the standard 14-day window:
- Technical issues or service outages that prevented proper use of the platform
- Medical emergencies or unforeseen personal circumstances (documentation may be required)
- Significant changes to service features or functionality that materially affect your usage
